Immergent is an initiative focused on bringing communities together for healing, creative experiences. Our goal is to amplify a community’s voice through creative outlets and help them address struggles, celebrate successes, and learn from one another. We accomplish this goal through four avenues: immersive experiences, production, publishing, and educational programing. By bridging cultural and generational gaps, it is our hope the communal healing can happen.

Founding Partner

Elizabeth Martin, Ph.D., J.D.

Elizabeth A. Martin, Ph.D., J.D., is an attorney, organizational psychologist, and arts leader with more than 25 years of experience in contemporary art curation, gallery management, public art administration, and large-scale cultural event production. As co-founder of Immergent and co-founder of Wills & Martin, LLC, she produces multi-sensory community arts experiences across Texas, Washington, DC, Minnesota, and California while advising organizations on strategy, operations, and complex contract and risk management.
 
Her arts leadership includes directing the Center for Contemporary Arts and the Whelan Gallery in Santa Fe, curating notable exhibitions and overseeing professional installation, conservation, and operations. She has produced major projects such as Good Morning/Mourning America in Fort Worth and is currently co-producing precari, an immersive movement and art experience developed in partnership with Pacifica Graduate Institute and Movement Migration. A Fort Worth native with deep family roots in the city’s cultural and entrepreneurial history, she brings high-level executive, legal, and curatorial expertise to the stewardship of public art and community-centered creative work.

Melody Bolen

Managed care expert Melody Bolen is a proven leader in a variety of operational settings, earning outstanding industry ratings for employee engagement and retention. Melody has overseen diverse teams for a Fortune 500 company across the business to drive improvements and achieve the overall mission. In this capacity, she has led the design and implementation of award-winning health care programs from the ground up. She was often called upon to evaluate and overhaul key business operations that required improvement. She is dedicated to drawing out the best in teams resulting in long-term solutions for the health of the business.

Originally a Marriage and Family Therapist, her career has always primarily focused on helping people. And it’s this rich trove of human experience that makes her so valuable in helping our Immergent clients evolve and grow. Whether providing therapeutic treatment programming for multiple non-profits, implementing innovative behavioral health care programs in communities to serve vulnerable communities as a small business owner, or bringing partners together for a common goal in a large corporation, Melody is, first and foremost, all about people.

When she’s not helping others, Melody enjoys all things Los Angeles – from its diverse dining choices to its music, museums, beaches, and nearby mountains. It all goes hand-in-hand with her devotion to supporting community programs and helping businesses become happier, healthier, and more successful.

Elizabeth Wills is a Fort Worth–based creative producer and operations leader who translates vision into measurable impact. With more than 30 years of experience across corporate innovation, consulting, and the performing arts, she brings a distinctive blend of creative leadership and operational rigor—organizing people, systems, and experiences to move complex ideas into action.
 
Elizabeth is known for convening diverse stakeholders, aligning teams around shared purpose, and building scalable systems that drive meaningful outcomes. Her work integrates human-centered design, strategic communications, and disciplined execution to strengthen engagement, trust, and long-term impact.
 
As Co-Founder and Strategic & Operations Lead of Wills & Martin, LLC, she designs operational playbooks, governance structures, and cross-functional workflows that move strategy into execution. She leads executive retreats, strategic planning engagements, and multi-stakeholder convenings that help organizations navigate complexity and build momentum.
 
Her background in production informs her systems-oriented approach. Through Elizabeth Wills Music, she has produced national tours, live performances, and collaborative cultural programming—leading multidisciplinary teams and managing the full lifecycle from concept to execution.
 
Previously, Elizabeth served as a Managing Consultant, Innovation Strategist, and Chief of Staff at Optum Health (UnitedHealth Group), where she led rapid-cycle pilots, coordinated cross-functional teams, and built learning systems to test and scale new models of care and engagement.
 
Elizabeth holds a Master of Communication Management from USC Annenberg and a BA in Organizational Communication from UT Arlington, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and has completed executive education at Harvard Kennedy School.
