Fort Worth Heritage Park Public Art

Collectively, the Immergent team’s Fort Worth roots run deep, including one family that helped found the city and another that set the electrical lines of the first Heritage Park. We have over 200 years of history personally propelling this concept and believe this is an opportunity to both honor Fort Worth’s heritage and leave a heritage worth honoring for our descendents. We envision the following as a two-year, collaborative project that will illuminate the full history and heritage of Fort Worth.

Through the performance we will illuminate what Fort Worth is like today, challenging participants to continue stewarding what makes the city so special and learning that to be good ancestors, we must at once embrace the world as it was and as it is, and then to genuinely see (imagine) it anew. After the performance, ongoing community organizing and reflecting gatherings continue this work.

A transmission from our ancestors.
